Dr. Pero is the newest addition to North Dallas ENT. He is a Board-Certified Otolaryngologist/Head and Neck Surgeon, and also a fellowship-trained Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon.

In addition to practicing all aspects of Ear, Nose and Throat, Dr. Pero brings additional expertise in the areas of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head and neck to North Dallas ENT. His practice has an emphasis on health and wellness with an interest in aesthetic facial surgery (face lifting, eyelid surgery, scar revision, etc.), skin cancer reconstruction, facial trauma and functional and cosmetic nasal surgery (rhinoplasty). Non-surgical rejuvenation procedures, including Botox®, injectable fillers (Juvederm®, Restylane®, etc.) laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels are also offered in his practice.

He is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he received a Presidential Scholarship and was on the Dean’s List while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a focus on Pre-Medical Studies.

Dr. Pero attended the University of Texas at Houston Medical School where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society; the only nationally recognized honor society for medical school students.

Following medical school, Dr. Pero performed his internship in General Surgery at the famed Charity Hospital in New Orleans. His residency in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery (Ear, Nose and Throat) was also completed in New Orleans at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.

At the conclusion of his residency, he was selected for a coveted fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical School. Dr. Pero studied under the guidance of Dr. Dean M. Toriumi, a world-renowned expert in Facial Plastic Surgery with an emphasis on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose.

As an author of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, textbook chapters and presentations at national and international meetings, he has contributed to many fields of Ear, Nose and Throat medicine.

Additionally, he serves as a volunteer clinical faculty member at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School’s Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, where he serves as an instructor to the Ear, Nose and Throat residents.

Dr. Pero is a native of the North Dallas area, having grown up in nearby Allen, Texas and is happy to be back in Texas after completing his training in Houston, New Orleans and Chicago. His wife, Roxanne, is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in private practice at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. They are active in their church and their community and enjoy travelling, live music and playing with their puppy Catin, a Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla.
